Interior Foundation Footing Drain
Interior foundation footing drains involve excavating a shallow trench around the inside of your foundation below the footing elevation and connected to a sump excavation. The floor slab must first be cut with a diamond saw about one-foot from the wall, and then removed. Perforated pipe is installed in the trench and surrounded with drain rock. The piping is connected to a collector barrel installed in the sump. Depending upon the topography, the water is drained by gravity or pumped from the collector barrel to the storm sewer system. Once the drain has been installed, a new concrete floor slab will be poured.
