Interior Foundation Footing Drain
Interior foundation footing drains involve excavating a shallow trench around the inside of your foundation below the footing elevation and connected to a sump excavation. Perforated pipe is installed in the trench and surrounded with drain rock. The piping is connected to a collector barrel installed in the sump. Depending upon the topography, the water is drained by gravity or pumped from the collector barrel to the storm sewer system.
To finish the solution, the surface of the crawl space is covered with a vapor barrier to keep humidity in the crawl space reduced to ambient levels.
