Structural damage?

Our homes and other buildings often suffer from the harsh environment in the Pacific Northwest. Decay and water damage often compromises the integrity of our support structures and floors below buildings, as well as other distress on our buildings. Allied Waterproofing has had plenty of experience in solving these challenging repairs. We have a strong opinion that decayed or otherwise deficient material should be completely removed from the structure and replaced with new material. We often find that older decayed material will attract new problems such as insect infestation and mold. Of course it is always important to correct the cause of the original problem. The largest contributor to decayed wood structure is moisture. Therefore, structural repairs usually are associated with drainage challenges.

Our typical repairs include foundation footings, support post replacement, and general foundation stabilization. We use Douglas Fir, Cedar, or pressure treated lumber for our repairs. We also install steel connectors, where practical, to enhance the features of the buildings to resist the affects of seismic events and wind. Structural repairs are designed by our network of associated engineers and consultants to ensure that the proper size and location of replacement structural members are used. This care and attention to detail is important to us and to you so that you can be assured that the quality and health of your home is maintained. Allied Waterproofing is dedicated to provide only the best quality of work possible. We cannot guarantee your satisfaction without this type of approach to our projects.
